# Outpatient imaging in El Paso since 2002

Desert Imaging opened on February 14, 2002. Today it runs five centers across El Paso County and a mobile 3D mammography unit, with studies read by four board-certified radiologists.

## What we do

MRI, CT, PET/CT, 3D mammography, ultrasound, X-ray, bone density, nuclear medicine, heart tests and thyroid biopsy, at the center closest to you. Weekday hours run to 10 p.m., and four of the five centers are open Saturdays.

Studies are read by our board-certified radiologists. The report goes to the doctor who ordered the exam and to your patient portal, and your images are yours to keep and share.

## Accreditation

Desert Imaging is accredited by the American College of Radiology, including its ultrasound accreditation in obstetric, gynecologic, general and vascular ultrasound. Our radiologists are board certified and meet the requirements of the American College of Radiology and the State of Texas.

In 2019 the Radiology Business Management Association recognized Desert Imaging as a Business Excellence Program radiology practice.

## The Women's Center at Desert Imaging

Opened in 2017 at our West center: breast services, ultrasound and bone density in one comfortable, private space.

## Mammos on the Move

Our mobile 3D mammography unit carries the same Hologic 3D system as our centers to community events across the region.

## In the community

Two nursing scholarship endowments at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso, free 3D mammogram vouchers with the Stand with Estela Casas Cancer Foundation, and on-site screenings at community events.
