## 3-Tesla wide-bore MRI arrives at West (2024-04)

Desert Imaging began offering 3-Tesla MRI exams on the uMR Omega system at 122 W. Castellano Dr., with a 75 cm opening and shorter exam times.

## Twenty years serving El Paso (2022-02-14)

On February 14, 2002, Desert Imaging opened its doors as what the practice describes as El Paso's first full-service outpatient diagnostic imaging center. Twenty years later it runs five centers across the county.

## Horizon City center opens (2021-12)

Desert Imaging offered up to 200 vouchers for a free 3D screening mammogram, funded by the Stand with Estela Casas Cancer Foundation.

## Imaging records go online (2021-07)

Desert Imaging stopped releasing imaging records on CD. Patients and care providers now receive them through secure online access.

## PocketHealth chosen for image sharing (2021-05)

Desert Imaging selected PocketHealth as its platform for sharing diagnostic images between patients and physicians.

## Employees and company donate $6,000 to El Paso (2020-12)

Funds first raised by employees through handmade jewelry sales were matched by the company.

## Two nursing scholarship endowments in memory of Kharisma James (2020-10)

Desert Imaging and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso created two scholarship endowments for Hunt School of Nursing students, honoring the memory of alumna Kharisma James.

## Third 3D mammography system (2019-12)

Desert Imaging acquired its third 3D mammography system.

## RBMA Business Excellence Program recognition (2019-06-07)

The Radiology Business Management Association certified Desert Imaging as a recognized radiology practice under its Business Excellence Program.

## Online appointment request form launches (2018-11)

Patients can request an appointment through an online form. Each request goes to the scheduling department, and a patient care associate calls back to confirm the date, time and location.

## Two Genius 3D mammography systems (2018-10)

Desert Imaging added two Hologic systems featuring the Genius 3D Mammography exam.
